The Comfort Home Program offers up to $4,000 in incentives for insulation and window upgrades. They also provide a $2,500 incentive for the installation of heat pumps.
Everyone qualifies regardless of income.
Qualified homeowners can receive 0% interest and no payments for one 1 year on energy-saving home renovation projects. Additional rates as low as 3.49% or 6.99% for up to 15 years.
The EmPowerNY program provides FREE home energy evaluations, insulation, air sealing, furnaces, boilers and lighting upgrades.
The Assisted Home Performance program provides free home efficiency evaluations as well as up to $5,000 in insulation, heating, and hot water equipment. Two to four unit residences are eligible for up to $10,000.
For the installation of equipment that qualifies, the utility providers (NYSEG, RG&E, and National Fuel) offer rebates up to $1,000. Additionally, homeowners are permitted to deduct up to 10%, or $500, of their energy-saving improvements on their federal tax returns.
